Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming)
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support to promote independence and prevent falls
• Monitor residents’ conditions and promptly report changes to the nursing team
• Take and record vital signs and document observations accurately in the chart
• Support mealtime assistance and help with feeding as needed with dignity and patience
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members to support person-centered care
• Participate in care planning and follow assigned care tasks to high standards

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (or state-equivalent CNA) in good standing
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Previous experience in long-term care or geriatrics is a plus but new graduates are welcome
• Able to pass background check, drug screen, and required health screenings
• Comfortable working night shifts and collaborating with a team

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved GNA/CNA program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong bedside manner and compassion for older adults
• Ability to perform ADLs and assist with mobility safely
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, feeding assistance, toileting care
• Good documentation and time-management skills
• Awareness of infection control and safe handling practices
• Teamwork and clear communication with nursing staff and families
• Attention to detail and reliability during night-shift routines
