Roles & Responsibilities

• Direct the hospital operation during evenings, nights and weekends, ensuring safe, efficient care across inpatient and ancillary departments
• Provide clinical leadership and serve as a role model for best practices and high-quality patient care
• Make prompt, high-quality decisions in urgent clinical situations including emergency/trauma and critical care scenarios
• Support and mentor staff through change, staffing challenges and day-to-day operational needs
• Manage multiple priorities simultaneously and calmly coordinate responses to intense or unexpected events
• Foster fairness and consistency in application of policies and contractual requirements
• Serve as shift supervisor when required and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to maintain continuity of care

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with an active Massachusetts RN license
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
• Minimum of 3 years of successful leadership experience in an acute care setting
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Demonstrated experience in conflict resolution, staffing management and supervising shifts
• Documented critical care skills and recent (within 1 year) clinical competency relevant to the role
• One supervisory signed reference from within the past two years required
• Traveler must have own vehicle and include permanent address in profile
• Profile must include work history, skills checklist, certifications and any requested time off (RTO) at submission
• Client requirement: candidate must reside more than 50 miles from the facility

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical expertise in acute care, emergency/trauma and critical care
• Strong clinical decision-making under pressure
• Staff support, change management and conflict resolution skills
• Working knowledge of staffing systems and shift supervision
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to motivate teams
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent operational needs
