Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and behavioral changes accurately and promptly
• Assist nursing team with safe transfers, mobility support, and fall prevention
• Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection-control practices
• Document care thoroughly in the facility charting system to support continuity
• Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and the interdisciplinary team

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
• State registry eligibility or current listing (per facility/state requirements)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with ADLs, transfers, and personal care
• Positive attitude, strong teamwork, and a patient-centered approach

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• CNA certification (completed training program and state registry)

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in resident hygiene, feeding assistance, and mobility support
• Knowledge of basic infection control and safety procedures
• Ability to accurately take and record vitals and observe clinical changes
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Team-oriented mindset and the ability to follow care plans
