Location: Brooklyn Park, MD
Shift Type: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM; days of week to be confirmed (day shift)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to geriatric residents, supporting daily living activities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility while preserving dignity and independence
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report observations to nursing staff
- Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Collaborate with the care team to create a warm, safe environment for residents
- Support mealtime assistance and basic feeding as needed, ensuring nutrition and comfort
Qualifications
- GNA certification or completion of a Geriatric Nursing Assistant program (preferred)
- Previous experience caring for older adults is a plus
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills — you’ll connect with residents and families
- Ability to follow care plans, charting procedures, and facility policies
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of GNA / nursing assistant training program preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of activities of daily living (ADLs) and mobility assistance
- Basic patient care techniques and infection control practices
- Comfortable with observation and reporting of resident status changes
- Good documentation skills and attention to detail
- Compassion, patience, and a calm approach to caregiving
