Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care during overnight shifts
• Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document care accurately
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure safe, effective transitions
• Perform assessments and escalate changes in condition to the appropriate provider
• Support residents and families with clear communication and empathy
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to facility policies and regulatory standards

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN licensure appropriate for the role (Travel LPN or Travel RN) and valid for practice in Maine
• Comfortable and experienced working overnight 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM shifts
• Recent clinical experience in a comparable setting is preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification preferred
• Ability to complete a 19-week travel assignment and be a reliable team player

Education

• Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program for LPNs or an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN) for RNs

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong clinical assessment and medication administration skills
• Excellent documentation and charting practices
• Ability to triage and prioritize tasks during an overnight shift
• Good communication skills when working with fellow staff, providers, residents, and families
• Familiarity with long-term care or acute care practices depending on assignment needs
