Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care throughout the overnight shift
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
- Perform nursing assessments, monitor changes in condition, and escalate concerns promptly
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to coordinate safe, effective care
- Maintain clear, timely charting in the facility EMR and ensure handoffs are complete
- Respond to emergencies and urgent resident needs with calm, competent action
- Support residents’ dignity, comfort, and quality of life through attentive care
Qualifications
- Current, unrestricted RN license (travel licensure requirements apply)
- Recent clinical experience (facility or long-term care experience preferred)
- Current BLS/CPR certification required; other certifications as applicable
- Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently overnight
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN/BSN or equivalent) and active RN license
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and documentation best practices
- Clinical assessment and critical thinking for acute changes overnight
- Familiarity with long-term care/residential care clinical workflows
- Proficient charting and handoff communication
- Teamwork, time management, and patient advocacy
