Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on a busy day shift
- Perform thorough assessments and communicate changes in condition promptly
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Document patient care clearly and timely in the electronic medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and safe transitions
- Maintain infection control and safety standards to protect patients and staff
Qualifications
- Current LPN or RN license (able to practice in Maine or obtain state approval quickly)
- Active BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain prior to start)
- Clinical experience in long-term care or acute care preferred
- Reliable, professional, and able to communicate effectively with patients and team members
- Travel-ready mindset with ability to adapt to a new facility and workflow
Education
- LPN: Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
- RN: Associate or Bachelor of Science in Nursing from an accredited program
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong patient assessment and clinical observation skills
- Medication administration and accurate charting
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems
- Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced setting
- Clear communication and teamwork across disciplines
- Basic wound care and hygiene support relevant to long-term care settings
