Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform computerized tomography (CT) scanning procedures with precision and care
• Set up and monitor CT equipment; calibrate and perform daily quality control to ensure top image quality
• Position patients safely and apply immobilization devices as needed using proper lifting techniques
• Prepare and administer IV contrast media per radiologist protocols and monitor patients for reactions
• Capture, process and securely store digital images; ensure accurate transfer and permanent record keeping
• Assist radiologists with specialized procedures and provide thorough clinical information to support diagnoses
• Respond to emergency situations, provide basic CPR when required, and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff
• Organize daily patient schedules, maintain department supplies, and help onboard new personnel
• Participate in quality improvement activities, data collection and implementation of action plans to improve care

Qualifications

• ARRT certification (required)
• BLS certification (required)
• Minimum 2+ years of CT experience (required)
• Philips CT experience (required)
• Traveler experience (preferred)
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR (preferred)
• IV contrast administration skills and strong patient monitoring ability
• Clean background and employment history for streamlined processing
• Ability to maintain registry and meet regulatory compliance
• Comfort following facility dress code: navy blue scrubs

Knowledge & Skills

• CT scanning techniques and image acquisition best practices
• Patient positioning and use of immobilization devices
• Contrast media preparation and safe IV injection protocols
• Digital image capture, storage, transfer and PACS fundamentals
• Equipment calibration, daily QC and troubleshooting
• Patient monitoring, recognizing adverse reactions, and emergency response
• Regulatory compliance and registry maintenance
• Familiarity with Cerner and working effectively in an integrated health system
