Shift Type: 3x12-hour nights per week, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, Night shift (orientation: Day shift Friday, March 20, 2026; night shifts begin week of March 22, 2026)
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $71 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients from intake through discharge and establish individualized plans of care
- Provide excellent labor and delivery nursing including fetal monitoring and documentation
- Manage high-risk pregnancy needs such as preterm labor, hypertension, and diabetes with clinical judgment
- Support VBACs and assist with prenatal testing and procedures when needed
- Deliver clear patient and family education, including childbirth education topics
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate safe, timely care and transitions
- Act as a preceptor or charge nurse when called upon to mentor colleagues and lead shifts
Qualifications
- Active RN license (New Hampshire) — Compact allowed
- Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery / OB experience required
- Fetal monitoring experience required
- Current certifications: BLS (AHA), AWHONN, NRP — must be in hand at time of submission
- Labor & Delivery skills checklist within the past year required
- One supervisory signed reference from the past year required
- Previous travel experience highly preferred
- Must live outside a 50+ mile radius (NO LOCALS) and include permanent address on submission
- Include RTO in submission; try to limit to 5 days; license verification and required documents must be provided
Knowledge & Skills
- Clinical competence using the nursing process: assess, plan, implement, evaluate
- Strong fetal monitoring interpretation and maternal/fetal assessment skills
- Experience managing high-risk obstetric conditions and VBAC candidates
- Skilled in pre/post care and discharge planning for obstetric patients
- Comfortable teaching childbirth education and explaining prenatal testing
- Ability to function as charge nurse or preceptor with strong communication skills
- Accurate, timely documentation and proficient use of unit protocols
