Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain assigned non-clinical equipment to ensure safe, reliable service
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
- Document work performed clearly and accurately in facility systems
- Collaborate with clinical and facilities teams to prioritize tasks and support patient care indirectly
- Troubleshoot issues promptly and escalate when specialized support is needed
- Contribute to a safe, organized work area by following hospital policies and safety protocols
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; relevant technical certificate preferred
- Previous experience in a hospital, facility maintenance, or technician role is a plus
- Comfortable with hands-on work, equipment handling, and standing for extended periods
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a multidisciplinary team
- Willingness to complete facility-specific orientation and background checks
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation as needed for shift travel
Education
- High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical certificate in a related field preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with basic mechanical and electrical systems commonly found in hospitals
- Ability to read technical manuals and follow maintenance procedures
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices
- Good documentation habits and comfort using digital work-order systems
- Problem-solving mindset and resourcefulness when troubleshooting
- Customer-service orientation when supporting clinical staff and patients
