Roles & Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain assigned non-clinical equipment to ensure safe, reliable service
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance to reduce downtime
• Document work performed clearly and accurately in facility systems
• Collaborate with clinical and facilities teams to prioritize tasks and support patient care indirectly
• Troubleshoot issues promptly and escalate when specialized support is needed
• Contribute to a safe, organized work area by following hospital policies and safety protocols

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; relevant technical certificate preferred
• Previous experience in a hospital, facility maintenance, or technician role is a plus
• Comfortable with hands-on work, equipment handling, and standing for extended periods
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a multidisciplinary team
• Willingness to complete facility-specific orientation and background checks
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation as needed for shift travel

Education

• High school diploma or GED; vocational or technical certificate in a related field preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with basic mechanical and electrical systems commonly found in hospitals
• Ability to read technical manuals and follow maintenance procedures
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety practices
• Good documentation habits and comfort using digital work-order systems
• Problem-solving mindset and resourcefulness when troubleshooting
• Customer-service orientation when supporting clinical staff and patients
