Roles & Responsibilities

• Support primary care providers by preparing patients for telemedicine visits and ensuring smooth virtual workflows
• Perform clinical tasks like taking vitals, collecting histories, and documenting in the EMR
• Set up and troubleshoot telemedicine equipment so providers and patients connect without delay
• Coordinate patient flow and communicate clearly with clinical teams to keep the day on track
• Assist with specimen collection and basic procedures following established protocols
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection control and HIPAA standards

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or equivalent clinical training preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable supporting telemedicine visits and assisting PCPs with virtual care
• Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
• Ability to complete a 2-week training program and commit to the full assignment

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant certification preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with telemedicine platforms and basic troubleshooting
• Proficient in taking vital signs and performing routine clinical tasks
• Experience or comfort using electronic medical records (EMR) for documentation
• Understanding of infection control, patient privacy (HIPAA), and clinical safety
• Organizational skills to manage patient flow and multi-task in a busy clinic
