Shift Type: Rotating day shifts: 8-hour mixed shifts (8:00 AM - 2:30 PM and 11:00 AM - 7:30 PM); weekend coverage is variable and discussed during interview; on-call 12-hour Saturdays every 3rd week (on-call schedule may vary)

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care for patients in the cardiac cath and electrophysiology lab
- Assist physicians and the cath team during Diagnostic Cath, PCI and structural heart procedures including TAVR and TMVR
- Monitor patient hemodynamics and rhythms, respond to changes, and escalate concerns promptly
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation using MacLab and Meditech to support continuity of care
- Ensure strict adherence to sterile technique, infection control and cath lab safety protocols
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and procedural flow
- Float to other units as needed in accordance with facility floating policy, supporting overall patient needs
Qualifications
- Active TX RN License required (temporary licenses are not accepted)
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years RN experience, with preference for 2+ years in an electrophysiology lab
- Experience with MacLab and familiarity with Meditech documentation systems
- Comfort with cardiac cath lab procedures including Diagnostic Cath, PCI, TAVR and TMVR
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotation and float per unit policy
- Pediatric EP experience and 5+ years diagnostic Cardiac Cath/PCI/STEMI are preferred but not mandatory
Education
- Active RN licensure in Texas (Active TX RN License required; temp licenses not accepted)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of electrophysiology and cath lab workflows
- Proficiency in patient monitoring, rhythm interpretation and hemodynamic assessment
- Familiarity with MacLab and Meditech documentation systems
- Skilled in sterile technique and procedural support for interventional cardiology
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity environments
- Ability to prioritize, multitask and remain calm during emergent situations
