Roles & Responsibilities

• Configure and maintain application and platform settings to meet business requirements
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate requirements into reliable configuration changes
• Document configurations, change decisions, and runbooks so knowledge is shared and repeatable
• Troubleshoot configuration-related issues and lead root-cause analysis to prevent recurrence
• Support deployment and release activities to ensure smooth transitions and minimal disruption
• Validate that configurations meet security, compliance, and governance standards
• Train and support end users and internal teams on configuration behaviors and best practices
• Drive continuous improvement by recommending process enhancements and automation opportunities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience as a configuration analyst, systems analyst, or similar technical role
• Hands-on experience with configuration management tools and workflows
• Comfort with troubleshooting, documenting, and communicating technical changes to non-technical stakeholders
• Familiarity with IT service management concepts; ITIL certification is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple configuration items concurrently
• Ability to work independently in a remote/contract setting while staying aligned with team priorities

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid understanding of configuration management principles and lifecycle
• Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication to create clear documentation and share findings
• Experience with ticketing/change management systems (for example, ServiceNow, Jira)
• Comfort with basic scripting or query languages (SQL or similar) to validate configurations
• Familiarity with version control concepts and change-tracking best practices
• Customer-focused approach and the ability to translate technical details into business impact
