Shift Type: Days to be confirmed by facility, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC (overnight)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, respectful care to older adults, helping them maintain dignity and independence
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming and toileting
- Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Document care and resident interactions accurately and promptly
- Support safe mobility and use proper body mechanics when assisting with transfers
- Communicate clearly with residents, families and the care team to coordinate great care
- Follow infection control practices and facility policies to keep residents safe
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) required
- State registration or eligibility to work in Maryland as a GNA
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or must obtain upon hire
- Comfort working overnight hours and supporting a geriatric population
- Strong communication skills, professionalism and a team-first attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited GNA program or equivalent training
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of elder care principles and common geriatric conditions
- Skilled in assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling techniques
- Familiarity with vital sign measurement and basic clinical observations
- Proficient in clear, timely documentation and handoff communication
- Understanding of infection prevention and safety protocols
- Empathy, patience and strong interpersonal skills for resident-centered care
