Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Document resident observations accurately and communicate effectively with team members
- Assist with meal service and feeding as needed, ensuring dignity and comfort
- Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control practices
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (or completion of an approved CNA program) required
- Eligibility to work as a CNA in North Carolina or willingness to obtain state authorization
- Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or ability to obtain
- Comfortable providing direct patient care and working as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to pass required background checks and any facility screenings
Education
- High school diploma or GED; completion of an approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Hands-on patient care and comfort with activities of daily living
- Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
- Dependable time management and ability to follow care plans
