Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate direct patient care, assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, and feeding
• Support patients with activities of daily living and mobility, including safe transfers
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Maintain clear, timely documentation in the patient record
• Promote patient safety and infection control practices on every shift
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Assist with restorative care and rehabilitation activities as directed
• Participate in shift handoffs and team huddles to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license in North Carolina (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Proof of immunizations and TB screening as required by facility policy
• Successful background check and drug screen per facility requirements
• Comfortable working the 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM day shift; flexibility for occasional schedule changes is a plus
• Previous CNA experience preferred but motivated new CNAs are welcome to apply

Education

• High school diploma or GED and successful completion of an approved CNA training program with current certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Proficient in assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling
• Accurate vital signs measurement and basic clinical observations
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) documentation
• Good communication, teamwork, and time management skills
• Understanding of infection control and safety standards
