Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive pediatric and adult echocardiography exams with precision and compassion
• Operate transesophageal (TEE), 3-D, stress echo and M-mode equipment to capture high-quality images
• Conduct portable studies and bubble studies when patients are unable to come to the lab
• Administer and monitor pharmacologic and treadmill stress echocardiography as needed
• Use PACS and Epic to document images, findings and clinical notes accurately and timely
• Collaborate with cardiologists, nurses and multidisciplinary teams to support diagnostic decisions
• Provide patient-centered care for neonates, infants, children and adolescents with sensitivity to family needs
• Participate in rotating pediatric on-call coverage and support unit workflow during weekends

Qualifications

• Active Oregon state license (required)
• RDCS-Adult or RCS (one or the other required)
• Minimum 2 years of echocardiography experience; pediatric experience required
• Hospital experience is a hard requirement
• BLS required; CCI RCS, RDCS-Adult preferred
• Experience with pediatric call coverage and working with neonates/NICU preferred
• Familiarity with PACS and Epic charting preferred
• Comfort performing advanced modalities (TEE, 3-D Echo, stress echo, contrast imaging)

Knowledge & Skills

• Echocardiography fundamentals for pediatric and adult patients
• Transesophageal echocardiography (TEE) and 3-D echo techniques
• Stress echocardiography (treadmill and pharmacologic) and M-Mode
• Imaging with contrast agents and bubble studies
• Portable studies and working in outpatient and acute care settings
• PACS image management and Epic charting workflows
• Scanning complex congenital anomalies and neonatal/NICU patient care
• Familiarity with Philips imaging equipment and trauma/level I environments
