Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and compassion
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfer of residents using proper techniques
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and observations
• Provide emotional support and build trusting relationships with residents and families
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
• Help maintain a clean, comfortable environment that promotes resident well-being

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly and work as part of a team
• Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus
• Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Compassionate resident-centered care and strong bedside manner
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADLs, mobility assistance
• Charting and documentation practices (electronic or paper charts)
• Infection prevention, safety protocols, and proper PPE use
• Effective communication with residents, families, and care teams
• Teamwork, time management, and the ability to prioritize tasks
