Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer chemotherapy and biotherapy safely and competently, following all protocols
• Perform stem cell infusion pre- and post-care and monitor patients for infusion reactions
• Manage immune effector cell therapy infusions and provide vigilant post-infusion care
• Operate and troubleshoot IV pumps and remote patient monitoring equipment
• Document care accurately in the Meditech EMR and maintain clear communication with the care team
• Provide patient and family education about treatments, side-effect management, and follow-up
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless transitions between clinic and inpatient care
• Maintain unit safety standards and adhere to transplant and cellular therapy policies

Qualifications

• Current, active RN license (eligible to practice in Texas)
• Chemotherapy certification — REQUIRED
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience (Oncology/Chemotherapy experience required)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required; additional certifications a plus
• Comfortable with infusion nursing and IV pump management
• Able to work every other weekend as part of the schedule and float to related units when needed

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong oncology background and hands-on chemotherapy administration skills
• Experience with stem cell infusion and immune effector cell therapies
• Proficient with Meditech EMR documentation
• Skilled at patient assessment, monitoring, and early recognition of infusion reactions
• Excellent multitasking, prioritization, and communication skills
• Team-oriented attitude with flexibility to adapt to unit needs
