Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assist patients with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe and dignified mobility and transfers using proper techniques
• Maintain clear, accurate patient documentation and follow care plans
• Communicate effectively with residents, families and interdisciplinary staff
• Adhere to infection control practices and facility policies to keep everyone safe

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (Rhode Island or recognized equivalent)
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or must obtain upon hire
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings/immunizations
• Comfort with night shift work and a desire to deliver compassionate care
• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with ADLs and resident hygiene
• Knowledge of basic infection prevention and safe patient handling
• Good observational skills for noticing changes in condition
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Reliable documentation and time-management skills
