Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on nursing care to assigned patients with confidence and respect
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policy
- Perform accurate assessments and monitor vital signs, reporting changes promptly
- Document patient care thoroughly and maintain clear communication with the care team
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges to ensure smooth patient flow
- Keep a safe, clean environment by following infection control and safety protocols
- Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing to maintain high standards of care
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Successful completion of Trinity specialty specific competency testing
- Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings as listed by Trinity (PPD/IGRA, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, Influenza, COVID-19 where required)
- Clear Trinity 10 panel drug screen and respirator/fit test as applicable
- Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Education
- Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current LPN licensure (state-specific)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skills in medication administration and basic nursing procedures
- Patient assessment and monitoring, including recognizing subtle changes
- Accurate electronic and paper documentation practices
- Infection prevention, standard precautions, and safe use of PPE
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time during busy shifts
- Team-oriented mindset and effective communication with patients and families
