Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM (Day shift). On-call coverage: weekday call 4-5 days per pay period (call coverage runs from end of shift to 7:30 AM next scheduled weekday). Weekend call: 1 weekend per month (from end of shift Friday through Monday 7:30 AM).

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, patient-centered nursing care in the cardiac catheterization lab, ensuring safety and high-quality outcomes
• Perform and assist with invasive and non-invasive cardiac procedures following established protocols
• Respond promptly and competently to on-call activations—manage patient care from end of shift through handoff as required
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate procedures and post-procedure care
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation and complete required Trinity skills checklist
• Adhere to infection control, sterile technique, and institution-specific safety standards
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to support better patient outcomes and operational efficiency

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Indiana (or compact licensure as applicable) — license verification required
• Current BLS and ACLS certification; NRP, NIHSS and CPI required as listed
• Cardiac Cath Lab nursing experience and comfort with cath lab environment and procedures
• Able to pass Trinity skills checklist, fit testing, drug screen, immunization and TB/health screenings
• Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and teamwork orientation
• Willingness to participate in scheduled on-call rotations including one weekend per month

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficiency with cardiac catheterization procedures, hemodynamic monitoring and sterile technique
• Familiarity with cath lab equipment, contrast administration considerations and post-procedure care
• Skilled in emergency response and ACLS protocols in the procedural setting
• Competence in electronic health record (EHR) documentation and regulatory compliance
• Patient education, pre/post procedure teaching, and effective interdisciplinary communication
