Roles & Responsibilities
- Deliver compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients with professionalism and empathy
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
- Administer medications and treatments safely and document in the medical record
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-focused care
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge plans
- Monitor and respond to changes in patient condition promptly and appropriately
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation to support continuity of care and compliance
Qualifications
- Current RN license in New York State (required)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS and PALS preferred
- Clinical experience in acute care settings preferred; open to new graduates for some per diem roles
- Strong clinical judgment, critical thinking, and patient advocacy skills
- Ability to pass facility background checks and health screenings as required
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid assessment and clinical decision-making skills
- Medication administration and IV therapy competency
- Familiarity with electronic medical record systems and accurate documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and team members
- Time management, prioritization, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and evidence-based practice
