Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients to determine physical, mental, and spiritual needs and tailor care plans accordingly
• Develop, implement and evaluate individualized plans of care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
• Provide clear explanations and instructions to patients and their families to support understanding and consent
• Use nursing clinical judgment to recognize, report, and escalate changes in patient condition
• Perform and monitor moderate sedation safely, following protocols and ACLS/BLS standards
• Maintain complete, accurate clinical documentation and meet Core Measure responsibilities
• Contribute to a healthy workplace by using professional communication to manage conflict
• Participate in continuing education to keep skills sharp and current for best patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Current CPR/BLS certification required; ACLS required
• Proficiency in moderate sedation and monitoring sedation patients
• Experience or comfort working in Interventional Radiology/procedure room environments
• Ability to work scheduled day shifts, adapt to 4x10s if needed, and take on-call duties
• Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and patient education skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Patient assessment and individualized care planning
• Clinical documentation and charting accuracy
• Nursing clinical judgment with the ability to detect changes in condition
• Moderate sedation administration and monitoring
• ACLS and BLS protocols and emergency response
• Familiarity with interventional imaging, catheterization procedures, and procedure room workflows
• Effective multidisciplinary communication and conflict management
