Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality critical care to ICU patients during night shifts
• Perform focused assessments, implement nursing interventions, and evaluate patient responses
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to manage complex cases
• Mentor and orient new RNs to ICU practices and unit workflows
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record (Epic preferred)
• Respond rapidly to patient emergencies and participate in unit-wide safety initiatives
• Keep certifications current and participate in ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of critical care / ICU nursing experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• CCRN certification preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• Willingness and ability to orient and precept new RNs in the ICU

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care and ICU nursing skills
• Comfortable with acute patient assessment and intervention
• Experience with BLS, ACLS, PALS protocols
• Familiarity with Epic for documentation preferred
• Effective communicator and team player who can precept others
