Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform vascular ultrasound exams including upper and lower extremity DVT studies with accuracy and compassion
- Conduct carotid ultrasound studies and produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Operate ultrasound equipment and optimize imaging parameters for best diagnostic yield
- Document findings clearly and maintain patient records in accordance with policy
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team to support timely, informed patient care
- Provide patient-centered care by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety during exams
- Participate professionally in the on-call rotation and respond promptly when needed
Qualifications
- ARDMS certification required
- RDMS credential required (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)
- Proven vascular ultrasound experience with ability to perform upper and lower extremity DVT studies and carotid ultrasound
- Comfortable participating in a call rotation
- Strong patient communication skills and attention to detail
Knowledge & Skills
- Thorough knowledge of vascular anatomy and sonographic techniques
- Skill in Doppler imaging and vascular imaging protocols
- Proficiency with ultrasound equipment operation and image optimization
- Accurate documentation and ability to communicate findings to the care team
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced clinical setting
