Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform vascular ultrasound exams including upper and lower extremity DVT studies with accuracy and compassion
• Conduct carotid ultrasound studies and produce high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate ultrasound equipment and optimize imaging parameters for best diagnostic yield
• Document findings clearly and maintain patient records in accordance with policy
• Collaborate with physicians and the care team to support timely, informed patient care
• Provide patient-centered care by explaining procedures and ensuring comfort and safety during exams
• Participate professionally in the on-call rotation and respond promptly when needed

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification required
• RDMS credential required (Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer)
• Proven vascular ultrasound experience with ability to perform upper and lower extremity DVT studies and carotid ultrasound
• Comfortable participating in a call rotation
• Strong patient communication skills and attention to detail

Knowledge & Skills

• Thorough knowledge of vascular anatomy and sonographic techniques
• Skill in Doppler imaging and vascular imaging protocols
• Proficiency with ultrasound equipment operation and image optimization
• Accurate documentation and ability to communicate findings to the care team
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced clinical setting
