Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents and patients
• Assist with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe and comfortable patient transfers and use proper lifting techniques
• Communicate clearly with nurses and interdisciplinary team about resident needs
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through attentive care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential required
• Active state CNA license or ability to obtain state reciprocity promptly
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and required health screenings
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; team player attitude
• Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but not required

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing procedures and resident care principles
• Skilled in safe patient handling and mobility assistance
• Comfortable documenting care and reporting changes accurately
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Compassionate approach to patient-centered care and dignity preservation
