Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, person-centered care to geriatric residents including assistance with daily living activities
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility to preserve dignity and comfort
• Monitor residents’ condition and promptly report any changes to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and positioning, following proper body mechanics
• Document care, meals, and observations accurately and timely
• Collaborate with the care team to promote a positive, respectful environment

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• Ability to work the 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM shift reliably
• Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and safe resident handling
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Clear background check and any facility-required screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited GNA program or equivalent training

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic clinical skills: taking vital signs, assisting with ADLs, observation
• Infection control and proper PPE use
• Safe resident handling and transfer techniques
• Accurate documentation and basic charting skills
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and escalate concerns appropriately
