Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert neuro critical care at the bedside, managing complex neurological patients with compassion and precision
• Perform continuous assessment and monitoring of neuro patients, including hemodynamics, intracranial pressure trends, and neurologic exams
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create and execute individualized care plans that improve outcomes
• Administer medications, titrate drips, and manage advanced therapies in accordance with unit protocols
• Deliver clear, timely documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care across shifts and units
• Support patient and family education, explaining care plans and neuro-specific considerations in an empathetic way
• Assist with safe patient transfers and float between ICU and stepdown as unit needs require

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure with Nursys license verification required
• Minimum 2 years experience in neuro critical care or related ICU specialty
• Current certification card(s) as required by the facility (basic life support and specialty certifications as applicable)
• Clean, detailed resume with no employment gaps greater than 60 days
• References available from recent clinical supervisors or peers
• Ability and willingness to float between ICU and stepdown/IMCU units as needed
• Complete demographic profile and a badge-appropriate photo loaded into your candidate profile

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong neuro ICU and stepdown clinical knowledge, including stroke and traumatic brain injury care
• Ability to perform focused neurological assessments and interpret trends
• Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, ventilator care, and vasoactive infusions
• Skilled in neuro-specific documentation and use of skills checklists
• Comfortable collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and responding to rapid changes in patient status
• Professional communication, clinical judgment, and attention to detail for safe patient care
