Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 8-hour days, start before 6:00 AM and no later than 10:00 AM (day shift, flexible schedule communicated with Director of Rehab)
Hours per Week: 35
Candidate Pay Rate: $62 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Screen and evaluate patients with cognitive and/or ADL physical functioning limitations and develop individualized plans of care
- Use standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to design and justify clinical interventions
- Deliver skilled rehabilitative treatments including ADL retraining, therapeutic activities and exercises, modalities, and assistive device training
- Monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and evaluate outcomes to ensure effective care
- Document regulatory- and clinically-required information accurately in the electronic documentation system
- Provide meaningful patient, family, and caregiver education and counseling to support functional goals
- Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries and collaborate with the care team for smooth transitions
- Participate in patient care conferences, utilization review, and rehabilitation meetings to support quality care
Qualifications
- Active Occupational Therapy license (Missouri required; Compact allowed)
- Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapy experience — required
- LTC or Rehab experience — required
- Familiarity with NBCOT/AOTA standards and adherence to state practice acts and professional ethics
- Ability to supervise and support Occupational Therapy Assistants, aides, and students
- Comfortable with electronic documentation and accurate treatment minute recording
- Able to obtain necessary DME and supplies per regulatory requirements
- Strong communication skills and willingness to participate in facility trainings and meetings
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with standardized assessments and outcome measurement
- Expertise in ADL assessment and retraining
- Skilled in therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercise, and modalities
- Knowledge of assistive/supportive device selection and DME procurement processes
- Experience with Medicare A/B and managed care expectations and documentation
- Ability to manage productivity while maintaining quality care
- Experience with discharge planning, utilization review, and group therapy
- Familiarity with supervising OT assistants and mentoring students
