Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and grooming with dignity and respect
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Provide compassionate companionship and engagement to promote residents' emotional well-being
• Maintain accurate documentation of care and communicate clearly with the care team
• Follow infection control practices and ensure a clean, safe environment for residents
• Help with meal assistance and feeding when needed, observing dietary restrictions and preferences

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification (required)
• Active registration on the state nursing assistant registry if applicable
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass facility background checks and meet onboarding requirements
• Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic patient care techniques and comfort with geriatric needs
• Safe transfer and positioning skills
• Understanding of infection prevention and basic hygiene protocols
• Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
• Good observational skills and the ability to report clinical changes
• Teamwork, time management and respectful communication with residents and families
