Shift Type: Schedule varies (to be confirmed), 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, day shift (evening)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents, preserving dignity and independence
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and toileting
- Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition to nursing staff
- Document care accurately and timely to ensure continuity and quality
- Contribute to a positive, resident-focused atmosphere by engaging in friendly, respectful interactions
- Follow infection control practices and facility policies to keep residents safe
- Collaborate with the care team to implement individualized care plans
Qualifications
- Valid GNA certification (Geriatric Nursing Assistant) in Maryland or eligibility to be listed on the state registry
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required health screenings
- Experience in geriatric care or long-term care preferred; new grads with strong caregiving experience encouraged to apply
- Strong communication skills, patience, and a team-oriented attitude
Education
- High school diploma or GED required; GNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of geriatric care principles and age-related changes
- Safe resident handling and fall prevention techniques
- Basic vital signs and observational skills
- Infection control and standard precautions
- Accurate charting and documentation
- Compassionate interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
