Shift Type: Days TBD, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift)

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to geriatric residents, helping with daily living activities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, feeding, and mobility in a respectful manner
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report concerns to nursing staff
- Support safe transfers and ambulation, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
- Document care provided accurately and maintain confidentiality of resident information
- Build trusting relationships with residents and families to promote dignity and comfort
- Collaborate with the care team to follow individualized care plans and facility policies
Qualifications
- GNA certification or equivalent credential relevant to geriatric care
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred
- Previous experience caring for elderly patients or in long-term care settings is a plus
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Strong communication skills and a patient-centered attitude
- Up-to-date immunizations as required by facility policy
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an accredited GNA program or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic geriatric care practices and common age-related conditions
- Skill with safe resident handling, mobility assistance, and infection control
- Ability to observe, document, and report changes in resident status
- Compassionate interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs during a shift
- Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn facility systems
