Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and mobility support using proper body mechanics
• Maintain clean, safe, and respectful environments for residents
• Support mealtime and feeding assistance with dignity and patience
• Document care accurately and promptly in resident charts and communicate effectively with the care team

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — a must
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Ability to pass required background checks, drug screenings, and health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
• Comfort with lifting and safe patient transfer techniques

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and active CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Familiarity with vital sign measurement and basic patient monitoring
• Understanding of infection prevention and safe hygiene practices
• Ability to document care accurately and communicate observations to nurses
• Team-player attitude and the ability to work in a fast-paced care setting
• Time management and prioritization during busy shift periods
