Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate bedside care that promotes dignity and comfort for each patient
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately following facility policies
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions, reporting changes promptly
• Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the care team to deliver coordinated care
• Educate patients and families about care plans, treatments, and discharge instructions
• Maintain infection control standards and ensure a safe environment for patients and staff
• Support care planning and smooth transitions during admissions, transfers, and discharges

Qualifications

• Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license — Maryland licensure or eligibility preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable with medication administration, basic assessments, and clinical documentation
• Strong communication skills and teamwork mindset
• Previous experience in a clinical setting preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited LPN program
• High school diploma or GED

Knowledge & Skills

• Medication administration and basic wound care
• Patient assessment and vital signs monitoring
• Electronic medical record (EMR) documentation
• Infection control practices and safety protocols
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced clinical environment
