Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents with dignity and respect
• Support activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
• Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to nursing staff
• Assist with safe transfers and positioning to promote comfort and prevent injury
• Maintain accurate documentation and follow facility policies for care and safety
• Support mealtime assistance and oral care while encouraging resident independence
• Foster a warm, social environment to enhance quality of life for residents

Qualifications

• Current GNA certification or state-approved nursing assistant credential (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Comfort and experience working with geriatric and long-term care populations preferred
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams
• Pass a background check and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved GNA / nursing assistant training program required

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of basic geriatric care principles and safety practices
• Skilled in activities of daily living assistance and resident mobility support
• Able to observe, document, and communicate changes in resident status
• Compassionate bedside manner with patience and attention to detail
• Familiarity with infection control and standard precautions
