Shift Type: Days of week to be confirmed, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift / day)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents, including bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility assistance
- Assist with activities of daily living to promote dignity and independence
- Take and record vital signs accurately and promptly, escalating changes to the clinical team
- Support meal assistance, feeding and hydration monitoring with attention to dietary needs
- Maintain clear, timely documentation and charting to ensure continuity of care
- Communicate respectfully with residents, families and the interdisciplinary care team
- Help create a safe, clean, and comfortable environment that supports resident well-being
- Participate in shift handoffs, safety checks and team huddles to improve resident outcomes
Qualifications
- Current GNA certification in the state of Maryland or completion of an approved GNA program
- State-required basic certifications such as CPR/BLS preferred
- Current TB screening and immunizations per facility policy
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
- Good communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work as part of a care team
- Previous long-term care or geriatric experience is a plus but enthusiasm and a caring mindset count
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of a state-approved GNA program or equivalent training
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic geriatric care principles and safety protocols
- Skill in safe patient transfers, mobility assistance and fall prevention
- Ability to measure and record vital signs accurately
- Infection control practices and proper use of PPE
- Comfortable with resident-centered care and dignified assistance
- Strong observational skills and ability to report clinical changes
