Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and patience
• Provide compassionate hands-on care to older adults, promoting independence and comfort
• Observe and document resident changes in condition and communicate promptly to the nursing team
• Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and available assistive devices
• Follow individualized care plans and participate in team discussions to enhance resident outcomes
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols consistently
• Build trusting relationships with residents and families through respectful, person-centered care

Qualifications

• GNA certification (required)
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or willingness to obtain upon hire)
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements
• Comfort working with geriatric populations and performing hands-on care
• Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a care team
• Reliable, compassionate, and detail-oriented — you notice the little things that matter

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Experience with geriatric nursing principles and best practices
• Skilled in activities of daily living (ADLs) assistance
• Basic vital signs monitoring and documentation
• Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
• Good clinical judgment, observation, and reporting skills
• Empathy, patience, and excellent interpersonal skills
