Shift Type: Evening shift, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (days vary)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to geriatric residents, supporting daily living activities
- Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming and mobility with respect and dignity
- Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report observations to nursing staff
- Support mealtime assistance and ensure proper hydration and nutrition
- Maintain accurate documentation of care and follow facility care plans
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to create a safe, comfortable environment
- Help foster a warm, engaging atmosphere that promotes resident well-being
Qualifications
- Active GNA certification or equivalent state nursing assistant credential
- Current BLS/CPR certification (or willing to obtain prior to start)
- Up-to-date immunizations and TB test per facility policy
- Comfortable working with geriatric populations and those with mobility or cognitive challenges
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred but enthusiastic new grads welcome
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an approved nursing assistant program or equivalent training
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of safe patient handling and transfer techniques
- Basic vital signs recognition and charting skills
- Infection control practices and proper PPE use
- Ability to follow care plans and document accurately
- Compassionate bedside manner and patience with older adults
- Time management skills to balance resident needs during shift
