Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM Day. Additional coverage needed Monday-Friday, 9:30 AM - 6:00 PM Day. Orientation: 1 week

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications accurately under pharmacist supervision
- Maintain precise medication records and ensure inventory accuracy
- Assist pharmacists with filling orders, labeling, and packaging
- Follow medication safety protocols and maintain a clean, compliant workspace
- Support medication distribution workflows in a correctional healthcare setting
- Communicate clearly with the healthcare team to help deliver safe patient care
- Participate in stock management and restocking to avoid shortages
Qualifications
- Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred
- PTCB certification or state pharmacy technician certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working in a correctional facility and able to pass background checks and required screenings
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols
- Good communication skills and a teamwork mindset
- Ability to stand for extended periods and manage medication handling tasks
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent required; pharmacy technician certificate preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Familiarity with pharmacy dispensing practices and inventory control
- Experience with medication labeling and recordkeeping
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medication systems
- Understanding of pharmacy safety, sanitation, and infection control
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
