Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide safe, age-appropriate direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process
- Perform data entry for billing promptly and accurately
- Log case data into the department's digital archive to support quality and compliance
- Support staffing needs in the Progressive Care Unit and assist ED boarders as needed
- Collaborate with the interventional team to ensure smooth patient flow and excellent outcomes
- Maintain documentation that meets regulatory and College of American Pathologists requirements
- Advocate for patients and communicate effectively with families and multidisciplinary teams
Qualifications
- Current unencumbered Oregon RN licensure required upon submission
- Healthcare Provider level BLS required
- ACLS required for GSR Interventional Care
- Recent acute care experience required for consideration (ED, PCU, ICU)
- Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required (per CAP moderate complexity testing)
Education
- Verification of high school diploma or equivalent (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong acute care assessment and critical thinking skills
- Familiarity with interventional/OR and PCU patient care
- Proficiency with data entry for billing and clinical documentation
- Experience logging case data into digital archives or electronic medical records
- Knowledge of ACLS and BLS protocols and emergency response
- Ability to provide age-appropriate care across the adult spectrum
- Good teamwork, communication, and time-management skills
