Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, compassionate perioperative nursing care in pre-op and PACU areas
• Assess and monitor patients' physiologic status during recovery from anesthesia
• Document care and patient status accurately using EPIC OpTime
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and the perioperative team to optimize patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families about post-anesthesia recovery and discharge instructions
• Recognize and respond to post-op complications and escalate concerns promptly

Qualifications

• Current California RN license required
• Previous Critical Care experience required
• Previous hospital Pre-op and PACU experience required
• EPIC OpTime charting experience required
• Comfort working 4x10 day shift schedule with variable morning start times

Knowledge & Skills

• Critical care nursing skills
• Pre-operative assessment and preparation
• Post-anesthesia care and PACU monitoring
• EPIC OpTime electronic charting proficiency
• Strong clinical judgment and effective communication with surgical teams
