Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess students' speech, language, and communication needs and design individualized intervention plans
- Deliver engaging, evidence-based speech and language therapy to an elementary school caseload
- Collaborate closely with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress in the classroom
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals and measurable progress for each student
- Maintain clear, timely documentation of sessions, progress notes, and required school reports
- Provide consultative support and strategies to classroom staff to promote carryover of skills
- Participate in team meetings and positive, solution-focused communication with families
Qualifications
- Active Oregon SLP license required
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (or equivalent credential)
- Experience with elementary school caseload and school-based practice
- Comfort working in a school environment; focus on direct therapy (no Medicaid billing or case management required)
- Clear background check and ability to meet district onboarding requirements
Education
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders and intervention strategies
- Familiarity with school IEP processes and educational documentation
- Skilled in progress monitoring, goal writing, and classroom-based supports
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to adapt therapy to classroom routines and educational goals
