Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM); position listed as Days but may rotate to nights per staffing needs; On-call required

Candidate Pay Rate: $83 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate care to women in labor through delivery and postpartum — your care makes families whole
- Perform thorough maternal and newborn assessments and monitor fetal/labor status
- Prepare and assist for C-sections and inductions, coordinating with the OR and surgical teams
- Administer IV medications safely and follow strict sterile technique and infection-control practices
- Deliver newborn care including initial stabilization and neonatal resuscitation when required
- Document nursing care accurately and promptly to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Educate patients and families — empower parents with knowledge and emotional support
- Coordinate transfers and work closely with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Qualifications
- Current Colorado RN license (required)
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current CPR certification (required)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification and ACLS required within one year of employment
- Preferred: 4 years of obstetrics/L&D experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts, stand and lift as needed, and function in high-acuity situations
- Comfortable with on-call responsibilities and occasional shift rotation
Education
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
- Current Colorado RN licensure required
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care
- Proficient in fetal/labor monitoring and patient assessment
- Strong documentation and communication skills with patients and care teams
- Knowledge of sterile technique, infection control, and safe IV medication administration
- Able to remain calm and effective in emergency or high-stress situations
- Team-oriented with the ability to coordinate transfers and liaise with surgical and neonatal teams
