Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT and X-ray imaging procedures following department protocols
- Operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently to produce diagnostic images
- Prepare patients for exams with compassion, explaining procedures and addressing concerns
- Maintain accurate patient records and enter imaging data into computer systems
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure timely, accurate results
- Adhere to radiation safety and infection control standards at all times
- Troubleshoot basic equipment issues and escalate as needed to minimize downtime
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- Current ARRT certification
- State of Maine radiologic technologist license
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
- COVID-19 vaccination required
- Comfortable using multiple computer systems as part of clinical workflow
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (required)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proven skills in CT imaging and conventional X-ray techniques
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and patient positioning
- Experience with computerized imaging workflows and electronic charting
- Ability to produce consistent, diagnostic-quality images
- Good communication and patient-care skills
