Roles & Responsibilities
- Operate CT and X-Ray equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images
- Position patients safely and compassionately to ensure comfort and accurate imaging
- Collaborate with radiologists and clinical teams to facilitate timely patient care
- Maintain accurate imaging records and document procedures in the patient chart
- Follow radiation safety protocols and equipment quality control procedures
- Assist with patient education about procedures and post-imaging instructions
- Help maintain inventory and ensure imaging suites are clean, stocked, and ready
Qualifications
- ARRT registration in Radiography and/or CT preferred
- State Radiologic Technologist licensure (or ability to obtain) required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain upon hire
- Previous experience operating CT and X-Ray equipment preferred
- Strong patient care skills with the ability to work well in a team
- Ability to pass background checks and meet facility-specific onboarding requirements
Education
- Associate degree in Radiologic Technology or related imaging program (or equivalent certification)
Knowledge & Skills
- Proficiency with CT and digital radiography equipment and image acquisition
- Knowledge of radiation safety principles and patient positioning techniques
- Familiarity with PACS and DICOM imaging workflows
- Strong communication skills for interacting with patients and clinical staff
- Attention to detail for image quality, documentation, and equipment checks
