Roles & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver high-quality med/surg patient care for adults with occasional pediatric patients
• Use the Nursing Process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care and outcomes
• Collaborate with the Unit Director, Clinical Nurse Lead, and Nursing Supervisor to ensure seamless care
• Provide comprehensive care across inpatient, outpatient, observation, and swing bed settings
• Document clinical findings and care plans accurately and in a timely manner
• Respond to emergencies and support the team in delivering safe, evidence-based interventions
• Support holistic care that addresses physiological, psychosocial, spiritual, and developmental needs

Qualifications

• Active Vermont RN license or multi-state RN licensure
• Minimum 3 years acute care experience (Med/Surg experience required)
• BLS (American Heart Association) current
• ACLS current
• Flu shot required prior to start with no exceptions
• Familiarity with Meditech preferred
• Please do not apply if you are pediatric-only — this is primarily an adult med/surg floor with occasional pediatrics
• All required credentials must be uploaded five business days before start date

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong med/surg clinical skills and acute care assessment
• Skilled in coordinating care across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Proficient with the Nursing Process and clinical decision-making
• Experience with electronic health records (Meditech preferred)
• Ability to manage complex patients, prioritize, and communicate effectively with the care team
• Comfort managing occasional pediatric patients in a primarily adult unit
