Roles & Responsibilities
- Assess patients comprehensively and deliver total nursing care
- Develop nursing diagnoses and individualized patient care plans
- Implement and evaluate nursing interventions for medical-surgical patients
- Lead and collaborate with ancillary nursing and interdisciplinary team members
- Provide safe, compassionate care across the lifespan including pediatrics to geriatrics
- Maintain professional standards, documentation, and infection control practices
- Mentor colleagues and contribute to a positive unit culture
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Oklahoma or compact licensure preferred)
- Minimum 6 months medical-surgical (med/surg) nursing experience required
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain prior to start
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and patient care planning skills
- Comfortable working 12-hour day shifts and collaborating in a team-focused environment
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN preferred)
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and nursing diagnosis expertise
- Medical-surgical nursing fundamentals and care planning
- Ability to care for infants, children, adolescents, adults and geriatrics
- Leadership, teamwork, and effective communication with interdisciplinary teams
- Familiarity with unit-based workflows and documentation standards
