Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT imaging following radiologist protocol to ensure accurate diagnoses
• Operate Canon/Toshiba CT units and perform routine CT scans independently
• Execute image post-processing (MIP, MPR, 3D) to deliver clear, diagnostic images
• Prepare patients including venipuncture and safe positioning, ensuring compassionate care
• Assist with procedures such as biopsies and drainages and support vascular/cardiac/trauma/stroke imaging when needed
• Document exams accurately in Meditech EMR and communicate findings to the care team
• Maintain equipment quality control, follow safety and infection-control protocols, and keep certifications current

Qualifications

• Current State of Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license (must have by assignment start)
• ARRT certification in Computed Tomography (CT)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Minimum 2 years’ acute hospital CT experience — able to function independently
• Experience with Meditech EMR, Vitrea workstation, and Canon/Toshiba CT units preferred
• Ability to perform venipuncture and advanced CT post-processing (MIP/MPR/3D)
• Proof of flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exception prior to start

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) imaging and radiologist protocol-driven scanning
• Routine CT scans and advanced post-processing (MIP, MPR, 3D)
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR and Vitrea workstation
• Experience with Canon/Toshiba CT platforms
• Procedural support for biopsies, drainages, vascular and cardiac imaging
• Strong patient care, communication, and independent decision-making skills
