Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating shifts including weekends and holidays: Day 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM; Evening 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM; Night 11:00 PM - 7:30 AM (8-hour shifts, weekend and holiday coverage, OT rotation as needed)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings clearly
- Administer medications and monitor for therapeutic effect and adverse reactions
- Provide gastrostomy tube care, urinary catheter care, wound VAC management, CPAP support, and nebulizer treatments
- Assist patients with activities of daily living to support dignity and independence
- Admit and discharge patients with attention to continuity of care and documentation
- Notify MD or NP of pertinent changes in patient condition and collaborate on care plans
- Carry out assigned treatments and nursing duties in the long term care setting with professionalism
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required; Hawaii RN license must be obtained by start of assignment
- Clinical experience in long term care or similar settings preferred
- Demonstrated competence in medication administration and patient assessments
- Hands-on experience with gastrostomy tubes, urinary catheters, wound VAC, CPAP, and nebulizer treatments preferred
- Ability to work varied 8-hour shifts including nights, weekends, holidays, and occasional overtime
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills for long term care patients
- Comfort with medication administration and accurate charting
- Skill in caring for feeding tubes, catheters, wound VACs, CPAP, and nebulizer therapies
- Effective communication with providers, patients, and families
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a busy facility and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
